Lego Star Wars: Jedi Shuttle

Today we are taking a look at one of the Lego Star Wars Sets from the Clone Wars Series.  We have the Jedi shuttle which comes with the ship and 4 Jedi Knights.

The four Jedi are Saesee Tiin, Shaak Ti, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Anakin Skywaker.  The first thing to note is that as a clone wars set the faces on the characters look different in style to the movie sets.   They have the big anime style eyes.  They are just sort of funny looking to me as I have almost all movie based sets.

The minifgures are mainly printed only on the front and the faces are one sided compared to the double sided heads you get in many sets now.

Onto the ship.  It has a removable cockpit section that sits 2 of the figures.  The canopy comes off as opposed to being hinged.  You might be able to get a third in there behind Obiwan but not all four.

The underside of the wings are pretty rough but the engines look nice still.  There is a kickstand on the bottom for when it is landed.

Very nice designs on the engines.  Definitely some nice parts for any spaceship or jet build.

The wings mount to the main body on a rotation gear which allows them to turn 360 degrees in reference to the engines or cockpit.  This rotation exposes 2 flick fire missile which are shot by pressing on the blue engine pieces for the two edge engines.

When the wings are at 90 degrees that is supposedly the normal flying position.

I did not really love this ship is the stores but I found it on an excellent sale and once I got it built it grew on me.  I think the design would look better of the cockpit area was say 5 studs longer such the rounded tip stuck out in front of the wings and the wings lined up with part of the cockpit where it starts to go straight.  Might be a hard modification to do as I do not have a huge stockpile of curved white pieces but I will take a look.
