Lego Ghostbusters: Who you gonna Call?

Lego released a Ghostbuster set a few months ago from their consumer designed line.  The box comes with 508 many small pieces for $49.99 and is only at Lego Stores or through online merchants.  No decals which is great.  Everything is printed.  The box is a nice tab lock one that allow the set to be kept together after it is assembled.

The instructions are small format but thick which a solid glued bonding on the end which is not very helpful for keeping it open during assembly as you have pieces in both hands.

The instructions also come with some background info.

Here is the set assembled. You get a little stand for the minifigures.

Everybody has a proton pack.

Who afraid of those Ghosts?  I think they are with their double sided heads.  The also have printed monograms on the uniforms.

Here is the Ecto-1.  I have to say it looks really sharp.

With all the right lines but is made up of tons of pieces.  Not sure how robust it will be to kids play but the set is clearly not targeted at them.

New York Plates.

For both sides.

The top comes off easily to allow placement of the guys in the car.

Even proton pack storage in the back.  I was only able to get 3 guys in the car but that is ok.

I really like this set.  It is definitely a display and city layout type set with too many small pieces for the kids to play with.

  2. It is a nice set indeed. The last ghostbuster can just surf up top or hold on for dear life.

    1. It does have the ladder. That would be a good place for him to hang as the cars swings arounf corners.
