6MMRPC: Green Menace Orcs Assembled
Back when Mantic was running their Dungeon Saga Kickstarter I ordered a couple of their things to get an idea of what their products were like. I have not really used them yet other than to test Dungeon Saga rules but with the shipping of the Kickstarter rewards supposedly only a few months off I thought I should at least get the figures assembled. Cannot really game with pieces of minis.

6MMRPC: The True Test of Willpower
I am now facing the test of my willpower for the 6MMRPC from 2 fronts. Reaper has started their third Bones Kickstarter and someone offered up Age of Sigmar to me at like 35% off. I am a sucker for deals but I must be strong. I have no need for more miniatures that will not be used or more games that will not be played. I have my 300+ Bones miniatures from the first 2 none of which has seen a drop of paint and only been used for try out games of the Mantic Dungeon Saga Rules. I had Battle of Skull Pass and played WHFB a grand total of zero times. I will fight the good fight and keep the pile from growing. It is only a deal if you are going to use them.
Remembering all the gaming stuff I have laying around is very helpful in times like these.
Warhammer 40K: Space Marines 7-8K Points, Most Unpainted, A few unassembled.
Warhammer 40K: Tyranids ~1500 Points, All unpainted, lots not assembled.
Blood Bowl: 40+ Teams, None fully painted, several unassembled.
Epic: 2 Space Marine Forces, 1 Eldar, and 1 Squat nothing painted.
Dark Future: Not painted, weapons not attached.
D&D Chainmail: 100+ Miniatures, Most not painted.
Reaper Bones I and II base sets which is easily 300+ minis not painted.
X-Wing: All of the releases up to but not including Scum and Villian and big Empire Ship.
Project Pandora: Assembled but not painted.
Dwarf Kings Hold: Green Menace Still on Sprue
D&D Coop Boardgames: Ravenloft, Ashradlon, and Drizzit.
Plus I have Dungeon Saga stuff about 170 pieces inbound this fall.
(I totally forgot my Space Hulk set also)
I do not need to buy anything. I need to play, assemble, and paint. And play and play and play what I already have. What am I doing writing a blog post, I have so much other stuff to work on.

6MMRPC: Blood Bowl Star Players
Not much accomplished this week. I did finally get the painting station reset after having it covered with stuff from my daughters room which was being painted while we were on our trip. I pulled out 3 Blood Bowl Star Players and cleaned them up of flash and made sure they were assembled. I also started on painting the next Slann Blitzer for the Innsmouth Eagles. Very weak progress.
So above we have Boomer Eziasson, Zara the Slayer, and Slibli.

6MMRPC: Failure
That was quick. My 11 day family vacation combined with other things have stripped me of time to work on anything recently so I had no hobby post last week. I did not buy any new models though so just need to get back to painting once I get my sleep schedule returned to normal.
Maybe that should be how I spend a Joker to cover my lack of hobby post last week as opposed to having bought some miniatures.

6MMRPC: Blood Bowl 4th Edition Big Guys
For this weeks installment of Miniature Mountain Reduction Mondays, we look at the 4th edition big guys for Blood Bowl. I have had these guys for a little while now but am only now getting them assembled. While I guess some people paint then assemble I usually assemble then paint at some later point (often decades).
The Lizardman Kroxigor comes with 2 different head options. I went with the crested one. He goes with the 4th edition Lizardman team which I am sort of light on guys for with only the basic team box.
His tail sticks quite a was out but the model is pretty slim besides that.
Minotaur for the Chaos team which I apparently have never posted. The third edition minotaur is really the star player so this guy is the new basic one.
Definitely needs some green stuff gap filling still.
Here is the troll for the 3rd edition goblin team. More of the swamp type than the more comical looking ones like ripper.
Lots of slimy details on the back side.

6MMRPC: Painting/Hobby Station
So for this week's Miniature Mountain Reduction Monday we will look at my hobby space. So now that I pretty much finished my basement project after seven years (still need to repaint the stairwell and put the finish flooring on the stairs), we have set up the offices downstairs along the back wall. I have a desk on the end with two drawer sets. One for hobby and one for paperwork. This should be really helpful in getting stuff done since before I had to drag stuff out of the back of the basement upstairs to the dinner table and down any time I wanted to work on anything. I can get it pretty cleaned after use since the wife does not love seeing a mess of stuff out in the common places. Plus the three year old thinks he and touch stuff that I leave out.
The top drawer is the tools, glue, and such in a cutlery tray. Cutting mat sits over the top to sort of hide the stuff from the kids at first glance.
Second drawer is the miniatures in build phase. Currently a lot of trollcast Impact! Miniatures fantasy football guys to do.
Next drawers have my pan-vice, water cups, painting plate, and some dropper paint bottles.
Sort of how it looks when I am working. For someone who did not paint much I have a lot of paints and brushes. The paints I am currently storing in a 12*12 scrapbook paper organizer with them approximately sorted by color and tone.

6MMRPC Begins with Model Mountain Reduction Mondays.
The 6MMRPC begins today. The rules are no miniature purchases unless you use one of your 3 jokers, or have earned a new one by finishing an entire unit/army/group. I am working on blood bowl teams so I have to complete a playable team to earn a joker.
You are also supposed to do a hobby related post each week which I will be doing as Model Mountain Reduction Mondays.
I have added links up on the side to the group page and tallies of my progress. I started my tallies from after I bought my last miniature which was a small scum fighter for X-wing.

I am In
I am going to try the 6MMRPC. This is a pledge to not buy any miniatures for six months while you work on your existing projects. I was already on this type of plan but formalizing it is helpful. There are a couple of work arounds to allow you to buy a model or two to fill in a unit or such. This should hopefully keep me off of kickstarter and ebay looking at stuff. Just a little extra push to help the weak willed. While I am showing my marines up top, I plan on working on my blood bowl teams some of which are shown below.
I have already started to paint my Slann team for the fall season of the local Blood Bowl league. When those are finished, I will work on my partially painted Chaos, Undead, and convert Lizardmen.
