Target: 20 Dollar X-Wing Starter Boxes

Title says it all.  I was at one of my local targets today and saw that they had the X-Wing starter boxes marked at 50% off so 20 dollars each.  Pretty solid buy for a solid game so if you need another starter or are interested in the game check out your local target.  As will these types of clearances Your Market May Vary (YMMV)

Fun Times with Family

My office is closed until the new year so I get to enjoy some time with the family this week.  My son got a snow shovel a couple of weeks ago so he was out "helping" clear some light snow fall from the side walk.   He was pretty adorable if he did have a tendency to dump snow where I had already cleared.

Merry Christmas to All

I hope everyone is going to have a nice and safe holiday season.  Since GW discontinued specialist games sales there is no easy way for my family to fuel my play of those games so my holiday gaming/fun gifts will involve more Lego's and X-Wing Miniatures to go with the required socks and slacks.  So look for some more reviews of those products after the break.  I already have the Tie Bomber, Imperial Shuttle, and Hwk-290 to go with the Lego Hobbit Mirkwook Elf Army from an early family celebration to let everyone take a look at.

Blood Bowl Star Players Griff and Jordell

Today another quick look at some blood bowl minis. These are two star players released in about 2003 from the labels on the casting tabs.  These are human scale models that are multiple part which is pretty rare in the blood bowl universe.  First we have the human star player Griff Oberwald.  The model is 3 parts with two choices for the head.  This is the second Griff model, with the first one released with third edition back in the early to mid 90s.

Upcoming X-Wing Releases on Wayland for Preorder

Wayland is listing the rebel transport with x-wing, Tantive IV, and Imperial Aces as preorders.  Prices are listed at 50, 80, and 25 pounds respectively.  Assuming that aces is 30 here in the states that gives a transport around 60 dollars, and Corvette at 95-100.

Lego Hobbit: Barrel Escape

Barrel Escape was a preview set released with the first movie since the scene does not appear until the second movie like the escape from mirkwood spiders.  You get 5 minifigures, the adjustable platform surround, and some accessories for the center of the room.

Lego Star Wars Planet Series: Bespin and Cloud Car

The Lego Star Wars Planet series has been through several series now.  Even though I am a serious Star Wars Lego fan, I have let most of them pass unpurchased even at minor discounts.  I got the Death Star from the first release since it was the Death Star.  This is my second Planet Series purchase Bespin and Cloud Car.  Set comes with Bespin, Cloud Car and Lobot minifigure.

So like a Kickstarter, I have decided to increase my prizes for my 5th Anniversary Giveaway heading into the final week.  To review you can get 3 entries: 1 Entry for commenting on an uncommented Post here at Sons of Twilight, 1 Entry for commenting on another gaming blog post(not your own blog) with no comments published before November 2013, and 1 Entry for a blog post on your blog advertising this giveaway.

5th Anniversary Giveaway Prize Option: W40K Space Marine Devastator Weapon Bits

Since I know people still play 40K even if I am no longer covering it here we have a little giveaway prize for people looking for a little more firepower.  You get the bits for a Heavy Bolter and a Plasma Cannon.  Heavy bolter devastators with the Imperial Fist Chapter Tactics can now glance up to armor 12 so I think people might want these.
